Beretta Boy was quick to begin. All Inn Libby and Tzar's Ghost collided soon after the start checking Tzar's Ghost. All Inn Libby, Palmistry and Deadly Elegance collided on the first turn. Holding Hope and Three Kisses collided on the first turn checking Three Kisses. Three Kisses and Palmistry collided approaching the home turn checking Palmistry and severely checking Deadly Elegance.

Tzar's Ghost underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore shin. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Deadly Elegance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor abrasion to the left hind paw. No Stand down period was imposed.

Eileen Jay was slow to begin. Queen Lisa and Meehan Lochie collided soon after the start checking Meehan Lochie. Meehan Lochie and Downtown Strike collided approaching the first turn. Queen Lisa and Midnight Mile collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Queen Lisa crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Downtown Strike. Run Penny Run turned it's head outwards and marred Eileen Jay in the home straight.

Run Penny Run underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Adrian Symons, the representative of Run Penny Run regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Run Penny Run was charged with marring.  Mr. Symons pleaded guilty to the charge, Run Penny Run was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Inn Pearl, Chilly Bin and Harden were slow to begin. Pacific Express, Cheeky Lomar, Manila Rose and Bag Secured collided approaching the first turn checking Pacific Express and Cheeky Lomar. Pacific Express and Cheeky Lomar collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Money On Black, Chilly Bin and Bag Secured collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Pacific Express and Cheeky Lomar collided approaching the home turn checking Pacific Express and severely checking Cheeky Lomar. Manila Rose turned it's head outwards and collided with All Inn Pearl on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Manila Rose underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and mild thumps. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Debattista, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Manila Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Manila Rose was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Banner Lomar was slow to begin. All Inn Olivia, Kraken Pearler and Uno Shelby collided approaching the first turn checking All Inn Olivia and Kraken Pearler. Fancy Trance and Finding Messio collided on the first turn checking Fancy Trance and All Inn Olivia. Uno Shelby galloped on the heels of Finding Messio approaching the home turn. All Inn Olivia and Kraken Pearler collided approaching the home turn. Banner Lomar and Uno Shelby collided entering the home straight.

Scaramouche, College Girl and Fontella were slow to begin. Cash No Credit and All Inn June collided soon after the start severely checking Cash No Credit. Scaramouche and College Girl collided approaching the first turn. Aston Edwin and Scaramouche collided on the first turn checking Scaramouche. College Girl, Fontella, Cash No Credit and All Inn June collided on the first turn checking Cash No Credit and severely checking College Girl, Fontella and All Inn June. Aston Edwin and Nunniong Bear collided approaching the home turn. Scaramouche and Cash No Credit collided entering the home straight.

Dust Storm – Late scratching at 10:20am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr B.Smith was fined $100.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Diva Dot with kennel representative Mr Jye Formosa and noted their comments.

Lektra Bear, Western Bay and She's A looker collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Bear and Western Bay. She's A Looker, Diva Dot, Blue Magic Opal and Meehan Ziggy collided on the first turn checking Diva Dot, Blue Magic Opal and Meehan Ziggy.
