Steward's Report
Eileen Jay was slow to begin. Queen Lisa and Meehan Lochie collided soon after the start checking Meehan Lochie. Meehan Lochie and Downtown Strike collided approaching the first turn. Queen Lisa and Midnight Mile collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Queen Lisa crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Downtown Strike. Run Penny Run turned it's head outwards and marred Eileen Jay in the home straight.
Run Penny Run underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Adrian Symons, the representative of Run Penny Run regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Run Penny Run was charged with marring. Mr. Symons pleaded guilty to the charge, Run Penny Run was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
