Steward's Report
Riverdale Mitch was slow to begin.
Innocent Gem checked off Don't Know Jake soon after the start. Don't Know Jake checked off Queen Redeem on the first turn checking Soundstage. Soundstage and Don't Know Jake collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Innocent Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Soundstage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin injury, left quadricep injury and left hamstring injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Leland Medcraft regarding the racing manners of Soundstage on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Medcraft, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.
Riverdale Shine underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
