Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face-masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Happy Dance was quick to begin.
My Wanderer checked off Swarm soon after the start. Majestic Stella and Ready To Launch collided soon after the start. Riverdale Tifany and Majestic Stella collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Happy Dance and Just Mask collided entering the home straight.
Majestic Stella underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right metacarpal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Just Mask underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr John Caulfield regarding the racing manners of Just Mask entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Caulfield, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Just Mask - unplaced in the event.
