Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Hazy Rose, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Riverdale Bear and Dewana Milkshake were slow to begin.
Riverdale Bear and Dewana Milkshake collided soon after the start. Midnight Fussed and Hazy Rose collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Riverdale Bear and Dewana Milkshake collided on the first urn checking Dewana Milkshake. Reap The Rewards and Colourful Past collided on the first turn checking Reap The Rewards. Colourful Past turned its head outwards Cornhill Tiger the home straight.
Colourful Past underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Meyer, the trainer of Colourful Past regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Colourful Past was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Colourful Past was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
