Princess Whirl was quick to begin. Redding was slow to begin.
Val Lea, Classy Thyme, Kirabilli George and Belinda's Girl collided soon after the start checking Kirabilli George and Belinda's Girl. Kirabilli George and Belinda's Girl collided aproaching the second turn checking Kirabilla George. Kirabilli George checked off Belinda's Girl approaching the second turn. Belinda's Girl and Like Fine Wine collided on the home turn. Val Lea, Classy Thyme and Kirabilli George collided on the home turn checking Val Lea. Princess Whirl and Redding collided in the home straight checking Redding.
Classy Thyme which began to give ground approaching the home turn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder and a torn right dewclaw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
