All persons (both essential staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 30.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.9 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

A pre-race sample was taken from Thylacine.

Thylacine was quick to begin.  Zipping Chester, Flying Hercules and Flying Silk collided on the first turn.  Zipping Chester and Flying Silk collided approaching the home turn.

Two Pars was quick to begin.  Zipping Chandler and Aston Legend collided on the first turn severely checking Aston Legend which stumbled and lost ground as a result checking Speed Limit and Jeza You Beauty.  Two Pars visibly eased in the home straight.

Aston Legend underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Two Pars underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle and right chest muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. D. McKenzie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1) Two Pars was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. McKenzie pleaded not guilty to the charge, Two Pars was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Snow Flake was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Good Boy Colombo, Redefine, Panadero Grace and Aston Heart collided approaching the first turn.  Shango Run and Invictus Tess collided approaching the first turn. Panadero Grace was checked off Aston Heart on the first turn.  Shango Run and Invictus Tess collided on the first turn.  Redefine and Aston Heart collided approaching the home turn.  Redefine crossed out on the home turn and collided with Aston Heart.  Good Boy Colombo and Shango Run collided entering the home straight.

Coalville Chief was slow to begin.  Classy Stringer and Darnum Dodger collided on the first turn. Combust and Aston Resort collided on the home turn.

A post race sample was taken from Connor Man - winner of event.

Autumn Haze and Jenny Kay Rose collided soon after the start.  Jenny Kay Rose and Paua Of Oscar collided approaching the first turn.  Leo Rose and Autumn Haze collided entering the home straight. Autumn Haze turned its head out in the home straight and collided with Jenny Kay Rose. Prime Time raced wide in the home straight.

Autumn Haze underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. D. Cortese regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1) Autumn Haze was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ivy Isobel was slow to begin.  Armstrong Bobby, Zipping Whoopi and Black Honey collided soon after the start checking Zipping Whoopi.  Zipping Whoopi was checked off Armstrong Bobby on the first turn and collided with Black Honey.  Armstrong Bobby raced wide in the home straight.

Fraser Hook and Cool Story Bro collided soon after the start.  Leeky Lee and Zipping Bates collided approaching the first turn checking Leeky Lee.  Fraser Hook and Leeky Lee collided on the home turn.

Busy Bella - Late scratching at 14.22pm when Danny Cortese reported the greyhound to have Lamness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certifcate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Beers On Brody was quick to begin.  Riddles was checked off Beers On Brody approaching the first turn. Sneaky Mojo, Aston Turbine and Flying Unicorn raced wide entering the home straight.  Sneaky Mojo and Aston Turbine collided several times in the home straight.

Ultimate Mayhem and Jezza Bence were quick to begin.  Rose‘s Honey and Banjo Bobby were slow to begin.  Prince Jed and Amazing Roy collided soon after the start checking Rose’s Honey and severely checking Prince Jed and Banjo Bobby, Prince Jed fell as a result.

Prince Jed underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hock. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Banjo Bobby underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Prince Nangana was slow to begin.  End Game was checked off Our Blue Spolly on the first turn. Our Blue Spolly and Grand Mac collided approaching the home turn checking Grand Mac and severely checking Our Blue Spolly.  End Game raced wide in the home straight.

Betty Spolly - Late scratching at 10.37am when Steven Spoljaric reported the greyhound to have Illness Vomitting (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certifcate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nominations will be accepted.
