A pre-race sample was taken from Galiena Bale.
Mt. View Jester and Captain Turbot were slow to begin.
Galiena Bale, Captain Goldie and Captain Turbot collided approaching the home turn checking Galiena Bale and severely checking Captain Goldie which stumbled as a result. Hurricane Miss and Galiena Bale collided on the home turn. Bindi Girl and Captain Turbot collided several times in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Linsday Fulford regarding the racing manners of Captain Turbot on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Fulford, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
