Steward's Report
Coastal Edge - Late scratching at 10:47 by order of Stewards.
Enzo's Girl and See Me Bespoke collided approaching the first turn. All Inn Toffee and Mt. View Ginger collided on the first turn. Hill Top turned its head outwards apporaching the home turn and collided with Enzo's Girl, severely checking both greyhounds and causing both greyhounds to race wide. Mt. View Ginger galloped on the heels of All Inn Toffee entering the home straight.
Hill Top underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 6 and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Grahame Connell, trainer of Hill Top regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Hill Top was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Connell pleaded guilty to the charge, Hill Top was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
