Makes Cents went up with the lids at box rise.

All Inn June and Too Far collided on the first turn checking All Inn June, Too Far and Flying Jezza. Makes Cents and Wishly Bale collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Makes Cents and Wishly Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Wishly Bale. All Inn June and Flying Jezza collided approaching the home turn checking All Inn June. Lady Caviar raced wide entering the home straight. Flying Jezza visibly eased in the home straight.

Flying Jezza underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sesamoid injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Brian Lord regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Flying Jezza was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Lord pleaded guilty to the charge, Flying Jezza was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Meehan Ziggy - winner of the event.
