Steward's Report
Cornhill Rebel and Impending collided on the first turn. Crown Knox, Cornhill Rebel and Come On Aileen collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Crown Knox and Cornhill Rebel. Come On Aileen and Seabrook Stack collided on the home turn. Impending and Charging Yaala collided entering the home straight. Come On Aileen visibly eased in the home straight colliding with Charging Yaala and Impending checking Impending.
Come On Aileen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and a right quadriceps injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Bernard Seymour regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Come On Aileen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Seymour pleaded guilty to the charge, Come On Aileen was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Seabrook Stack - the winner of the event.
