All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated building and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.9 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.2 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Speedy Desire and Kraken Pearler were slow to begin. Hanaichi Empire and Speedy Desire collided approaching the first turn. Speedy Desire and Kraken Pearler collided approaching the home turn. Bee Lucky Banjo and Foresaken collided on the home turn. Kraken Pearler clipped the heels off Hanaichi Empire entering the home straight checking Kraken Pearler and Speedy Desire. Bee Lucky Banjo visibly eased and collided with Ziems Park Girl in the home straight checking Pie Night.

Bee Lucky Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Bernard Seymour regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Bee Lucky Banjo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Seymour pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bee Lucky Banjo was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Kenno - the winner of the event.

Mr Mathew Tabb failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Magic Marjen for racing. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 46(2).

In accordance with LR 22 Trainer Mr Paul Galea was issued with a warning regarding the non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

Pretty Mouse and To The Riots was slow to begin. Handsome Rhino, Fast And Flying and Koblenz collided approaching the first turn. Explosive Yaala and Magic Marjen collided on the first turn checking Eplosive Yaala which collided with To The Riots. Handsome Rhino and Koblenz collided on the first trun. Handsome Rhino galloped on the heels of Koblenz approaching the home turn checking Handsome Rhino which stumbled and collided with Fast And Flying causing Fast And Flying to fall, severely checking Pretty Mouse. To The Riots and Koblenz collided on the home turn. 

Fast And Flying underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Snack Attack and Kraken Jock collided approaching the first turn. Havelock Fire, Seance and That's Easy collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Jock, Snack Attack and That's Easy collided on the first turn severely checking Havelock Fire which collided Bold Edge severely checking Bold Edge.

Havelock Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Loves The Surf, Aston Resort and Remember Prince collided approaching the first turn. Aston Resort, Classy Stringer and Aston Tribute collided approaching the first turn. Aston Tribute, Aston Resort, Classy Stringer and Blue Yaala collided on the first turn checking Classy Stringer. Aston Resort, Aston Tribute and Myola Sunrise collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Tribute and Myola Sunrise.

Cornhill Rebel and Impending collided on the first turn. Crown Knox, Cornhill Rebel and Come On Aileen collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Crown Knox and Cornhill Rebel. Come On Aileen and Seabrook Stack collided on the home turn. Impending and Charging Yaala collided entering the home straight. Come On Aileen visibly eased in the home straight colliding with Charging Yaala and Impending checking Impending.

Come On Aileen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and a right quadriceps injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Bernard Seymour regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Come On Aileen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Seymour pleaded guilty to the charge, Come On Aileen was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Indian Shadow, Ride On and Gardener's Boyo collided on the first turn checking Ride On. Aston Remi clipped the heels of Ride On approaching the second turn.

Pure Cool Titan and Zita collided soon after the start checking Pure Cool Titan. Oriental Jade and Okay Sam collided in the home straight. Steel Magnolia raced wide in the home straight.

Lethal Image, Sonny Daze and Blueberry Hill collided on the first turn checking Sonny Daze. Lethal Image and Blueberry Hill collided approaching the second turn checking Lethal Image. Stretch Butler and Aston Pilsner collided on the home turn. Sonny Daze and Forcefully collided on the home turn. Blueberry Hill, Stretch Butler and Aston Pilsner collided entering the home straight. Sonny Daze and Aston Pilsner collided in the home straight.

Son Of Suri, Kalter and Tron collided soon after the start checking Kalter and Tron. Son Of Suri and She's A Looker collided approaching the first turn checking Son Of Suri.

It was noted that the muzzle of Chill Out Webby became dislodged during the running of the event.
