Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Mepunga Isla on Wednesday, 6 January 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Mr S Manning was starter for races eight through to 12.
Midnight Titan, Serengeti Icon and Aston Kipchoge collided soon after the start. Cosmic Sparkle and I'm Easy Boys collided on the first turn. Kraken Doll and I'm Easy collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Midnight Titan checked off I'm Easy Boys in the home straight. Burn Time raced wide in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Burning Time - the winner of the event.
Mr B Brown was fined $250 ($150 of which is suspended) under (GAR 86(o)) for negligence after the greyhound, Midnight Titan raced with it's collar on during the event.
A Club official, and Steward, were reminded of there responsibilities after the greyhound, Midnight Titan raced with it's collar on during the event. This matter was referred to the Club Manager and the Senior Steward for the North Region for further consideration and remediation.
