All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Zimmer Bale stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin (3L).

Market Bob underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg bruising and spike wound injuries.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Regal Missile and Hugo collided on the first turn, checking Regal Missile.  Graphic Design and Horizon Princess collided on the first turn, checking Horizon Princess.  Horizon Princess galloped on Hugo in the back straight; checking Horizon Princess; severely checking Hugo.  Graphic Design and Nine To Seven collided on the second turn; checking Nine To Seven, Regal Missile and Hugo.  Regal Missile and Hugo collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

An out of competition sample was taken from Mepunga Isla on Wednesday, 6 January 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Mr S Manning was starter for races eight through to 12.

Midnight Titan, Serengeti Icon and Aston Kipchoge collided soon after the start.  Cosmic Sparkle and I'm Easy Boys collided on the first turn.  Kraken Doll and I'm Easy collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Midnight Titan checked off I'm Easy Boys in the home straight.  Burn Time raced wide in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Burning Time - the winner of the event.

Mr B Brown was fined $250 ($150 of which is suspended) under (GAR 86(o)) for negligence after the greyhound, Midnight Titan raced with it's collar on during the event.

A Club official, and Steward, were reminded of there responsibilities after the greyhound, Midnight Titan raced with it's collar on during the event.  This matter was referred to the Club Manager and the Senior Steward for the North Region for further consideration and remediation.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Crazy Old Fool with trainer, Mr J Formosa and noted his comments.

Okay Sam and Crazy Old Fool collided soon after the start, checking Crazy Old Fool.  Pure Cool Titan, Wrangle and Rockstar Carmody collided approaching the first turn; checking all three greyhounds.

Crazy Old Fool underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg hock and calf injuries.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Kinloch Journey with trainer, Mr J Formosa and noted his comments.

Garage Sale and Flash Angel collided approaching the first turn; checking both greyhounds.  Market Legend, Avenger Lass, Zulu Eyes and Kinloch Journey collided on the first turn; checking Market Legend, Avenger Lass and Zulu Eyes.  Market Legend turned its head out in the home straight and marred Avenger Lass.

Market Legend underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg quadriceps injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Burkett, the trainer of Market Legend regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Market Legend was charged with marring.  Mr Burkett pleaded guilty to the charge, Market Legend was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Kinloch Journey underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Avenger Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request - no apparent injury was reported.

Zipping Kez and Indy Nevada collided soon after the start.  Master Avenger and Spring Roll collided soon after the start.  Trending Now and Aston Cinnamon collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Zipping Kez and Spring Roll collided approaching the home turn.  Spring Roll raced wide entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Confront and Catalina Icon were slow to begin.

Aston Gabrielle and Cudgee's Jayne collided soon after the start, checking Aston Gabrielle.  Dashing Daph and Arrowsmith collided on the first turn, checking Dashing Daph.  Confront, Hazy Rose and Forty Free Beans collided on the first turn; checking Hazy Rose, Aston Gabrielle, Dashing Daph and Cudgee's Jayne; severely checking Arrowsmith.  Confront and Forty Free Beans collided on the home turn.  Confront, Forty Free Beans and Catalina Icon collided entering the home straight; checking all three greyhounds.
