All staff & participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds. 

Paul's Happy and Rio Baskin were slow to begin.

Paul's Happy galloped on Rio Baskin soon after the start; checking both greyhounds.  Fine Edition and Phil's My Bro collided soon after the start.  Rio Baskin and Crackerjack Olly collided approaching the first turn.  Fine Edition galloped on Phil's My Bro approaching the first turn; checking Rio Baskin; severely checking Fine Edition.  Meat Up contacted the running rail on the first turn and raced wide as a result.  Paul's Happy race wide on the first turn.  Meat Up galloped on Phil's My Bro approaching the home turn; checking Phil's My Bro; severely checking Paul's Happy and Meat Up, both greyhounds fell as a result.  Rio Baskin raced wide approaching the home turn.

Paul's Happy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg shoulder muscle injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Meat Up underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left metacarpal.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

Big Bash Jess, Blazin' Lola and In Trinity were slow to begin.

Star Edition turned its head inwards soon after the start.  Star Edition and Saturation collided soon after the start.  Big Bash Jess and Star Edition collided approaching the first turn.  Junket Jarrod, Star Edition and Blazin' Lola collided approaching the first turn; checking Junket Jarrod and Blazin' Lola.  In Trinity checked off Saturation approaching the home turn.  Saturation and In Trinity collided entering the home straight.

Star Edition underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.  Ms K Gorman declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Ms K Gorman, the trainer of Star Edition, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Star Edition was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Star Edition was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
