A pre-race sample was taken from Kiss Me Razley
Fully Loaded was slow to begin.
Artic Assassin and Chelsea's Love collided soon after the start. Kiss Me Razley, Cudgee's Jayne and Stretch Butler collided approaching the first turn severely checking Cudgee's Jayne which stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Kiss Me Razley and Stretch Butler collided approaching the first turn. Kiss Me Razley and Stretch Butler collided entering the front straight. Kiss Me Razley and Stretch Butler collided approaching the third turn. Artic Assassin faltered in the back straight and lost considerable ground as a result.
It was noted that the muzzle of Cudgee's Jayne became dislodged during the running of the event.
Artic Assassin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a left chest muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Cudgee's Jayne underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
