Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.1 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
All Staff & Participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds.
Lektra Little and Blazing Kansas collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Blazing Kansas. Market Chick and Kraken Tyson collided on the home turn checking Market Chick. Blazing Kansas raced wide in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Lembor - winner of the event.
