Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr M Giddings regarding his conduct in which was detrimental or prejudicial to the interest, welfare, image, control of greyhound racing which occurred during the boxing of So Very Nice in this event.  After hearing evidence from Mr Giddings, the starter and acting on their own observations, a warning was issued to Mr Giddings' regarding his conduct boxing the greyhound.

Westar Manson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg shoulder muscle and right hindleg triangle injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms L Courts, the handler of Westar Manson, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Westar Manson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Courts pleaded guilty to the charge, Westar Manson was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Chebika Oasis, Swansie Delight and Enchanting collided approaching the first turn.  Too Far Bro, Swansie Delight, Chebika Oasis, Enchanting, Belle's On Boost and Lunaray collided on the first turn; checking Chebika, Belle's On Boost and Kranskey.  Lunaray raced wide in the home straight.

Mr M Johnson was issued with a warning under GAR 86(o) for negligence after the greyhound, Northern Zone was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Inter Phillip underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg hock and right hindleg nail injuiries.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
