Steward's Report
Betty's Dream was quick to begin.
Montaro, Go The Doves and American Spy collided soon after the start. Kraken Thunder, Fallen Petal and Somerton Osprey collided on the first turn checking Fallen Petal. Somerton Osprey checked off Kraken Thunder on the home turn. Reiko Bear marred Go The Doves in the home straight.
Reiko Bear underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Ricky Coleman, the trainer of Reiko Bear regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Reiko Bear was charged with marring. Mr. Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Reiko Bear was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
