Steward's Report
The 'All Clear' to this event was delayed to enable Stewards to review the lure run up. After taking evidence from the lure driver and Steward at the start, Stewards established that soon after the lure was automatically set in to motion, the lure momentarily slowed before being controlled manually by the lure driver. As the lure reached the starting point at the required speed and time Stewards declared 'All Clear'
Our Girl Bailee was quick to begin.
Volcanic Lava, Mahogany Storm and Crackerjack Nev collided soon after the start checking Mahogany Storm. Volcanic Lava checked off Flying Farrokh on the first turn checking Doughnut. Gemma Blue and Flying Farrokh raced wide entering the home straight.
Volcanic Lava underwent a post race veterinary examination and was reported to have a left groin injury. A 5 day stand down was applied.
