The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 25.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.5 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Lektra Little and My Name's Lindy were quick to begin.

Chuck Attack and Ishmy Rory collided soon after the start checking Chuck Attack. Lektra Little, My Name's Lindy and Impress Venus collided on the first turn checking Lektra Little, Ishmy Rory, My Name's Lindy and Impress Venus. Lektra Little and Chuck Attack collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Ishmy Rory and Impress Venus collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Taipan Jill – Late scratching at 11:36 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. J. Mangion was fined $100.

Rival Wiggyy and My Name's Danny collided approaching the first turn. Gemma Rapid and Twilight Psycho collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) Parade Steward, Ms. S. Evans did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Quirky Phoebe and Sloth were slow to begin.

Little Trucker, Electric Zulu, Preconceived and Kraken Sue collided soon after the start checking Electric Zulu and Preconceived. Hill Top and Cash No Credit collided on the first turn checking Cash No credit, Kraken Sue, Little Trucker and Electric Zulu. Kraken Sue and Sloth collided on the home turn checking Sloth. Kraken Sue turned it's head inwards towards Hill Top and visibly eased approaching the winning post. Hill Top tired approaching the winning post.

Kraken Sue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Kraken Sue was found to have injuries to the left chest muscle and right pencil muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Wark regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kraken Sue was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Wark pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Sue was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crown Jimmy and Midnight Fussed collided on the first turn checking Midnight Fussed and Dazzling Dippy. Spot On mick checked off Midnight Fussed on the home turn checking Spot On Mick, Dazzling Dippy and Barunga Bullet causing Spot On Mick and Dazzling Dippy to race wide as a result. Barunga Bullet and Level Neville collided in the home straight.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Fairytale Ending with Mr. Jordan Formosa and noted their comments.

Jaimandy Carl was slow to begin.

Jaimandy Carl, Fairytale Ending and Husky Freckle collided approaching the first turn checking Jaimandy Carl. Atlas Bombshell and Kranskey collided approaching the winning post checking Atlas Bombshell.

Jachar was slow to begin.

Plain Name checked off Quattro Miss on the first turn. Five Sisters checked off Quattro Miss on the home turn checking Five Sisters and Jachar. Veracruz and Send It Tucker collided entering the home straight.

Come Home Jye Licious and Rhino Rex collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Gotta Jump Start, Come Home, Rhino Rex and Jye Licious collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Rhino Rex and Jye Licious collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds and causing both to race wide.

Lunaray was slow to begin.

Kraken Storm and Scar Queen collided on the first turn checking Scar Queen and Big Dove. Belle Curve and Aston Champagne collided on the first turn checking Aston Champagne. Belle Curve and Aston Champagne collided on the home turn checking Kraken Storm, Belle Curve and Our Girl Bailee. Scar Queen and Big Dove collided in the home straight.

In accordance with LR 22 Mr. M. Said was issued with a warning regarding the non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bongino.

Bongino checked off Kaique on the home turn.

Our Flying Bolt and Kinloch Journey collided on the first turn checking Our Flying Bolt, Aston Logan and Loud And Rowdy.

Due to a technical malfunction with the semaphore board the incorrect race number was displayed.

Miss Never Mind, Dewana Be Sure, Red Hot Chance and Lektra Bear collided on the first turn checking Dewana Be Sure, Red Hot Chance and Lektra Bear. Lektra Bear checked off Dewana Be Sure approaching the home turn and collided with Red Hot Chance.

Call Me Tanya and Diamond White collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Jess and Landslide collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
