Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) Parade Steward, Ms. S. Evans did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Quirky Phoebe and Sloth were slow to begin.
Little Trucker, Electric Zulu, Preconceived and Kraken Sue collided soon after the start checking Electric Zulu and Preconceived. Hill Top and Cash No Credit collided on the first turn checking Cash No credit, Kraken Sue, Little Trucker and Electric Zulu. Kraken Sue and Sloth collided on the home turn checking Sloth. Kraken Sue turned it's head inwards towards Hill Top and visibly eased approaching the winning post. Hill Top tired approaching the winning post.
Kraken Sue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Kraken Sue was found to have injuries to the left chest muscle and right pencil muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. T. Wark regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kraken Sue was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Wark pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Sue was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
