Sweet Hostility was slow to begin. Murt Law and Flossy Jo collided soon after the start. Murt Law crossed out approaching the first turn and collided with Sweet Hostility, checking Murt Law. Bomber's Queen and Poppo's Grinning collided approaching the home turn checking Bomber's Queen. Murt Law crossed out on the home turn. Bangor Lizzy raced wide entering the home straight.
Murt Law underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral and sacro-iliac injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
