Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Midnight Marzy.
Banjo Plato and Petey Baqui collided on the first turn. Hurricane Pete crossed out entering the home straight and collided with Cee Jay Ace. Cee Jay Ace and Hurricane Pete collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Hurricane Pete underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana the trainer of Hurricane Pete regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Hurricane Pete must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
