The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 31, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays en-route to the track.  The kennels closed at 6:35pm and and as a result, this event was rescheduled to start at 7.02pm.

A pre-race sample was taken from Honey's Destiny.

Charlie Brother was slow to begin.  Coalville Chief and Honey's Destiny collided soon after the start. Devon Shadow and Charlie Brother collided approaching the first turn.  Adesanya galloped on Diamond Ted approaching the home turn checking Diamond Ted.  Pretty More and Charlie Brother collided entering the home straight.

Charlie Brother proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Mr.M.Clark was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Supercomputer pursuant to GAR 33.

Supercomputer was slow to begin.  Nathan Ryder and Luigi Bale collided soon after the start.  Totally Bella and Hurricane Star collided soon after the start.  Nathan Ryder and Luigi Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Blue Cascade, Light It Up and Totally Bella collided on the home turn. Nathan Ryder, Supercomputer and Hurricane Star raced wide in the home straight.

Collinda Dodge and Taciana collided soon after the start.  Taciana galloped on Collinda Dodge approaching the first turn checking Collinda Dodge.  Hurricane Miss raced wide entering the home straight.  Collinda Dodge and Hurricane Miss collided approaching the winning post.

A post race sample was taken from Dewana Magoo - winner of the event.

Italia Bella was slow to begin.  Praise Me and Mess collided soon after the start.  Mess contacted the running rail on the first turn.

Mess underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left chest muscle, an abrasion on the left knee and a papilloma - left hind webbing.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Poppo's Legacy and His Stop It collided soon after the start.  His Stop It and Finnish Vision collided approaching the first turn.  Empire Lad galloped on Sweet Chanelle on the first turn checking Sweet Chanelle. Dewana Smokey and Galloping Albi collided entering the home straight.

Sweet Hostility was slow to begin.  Murt Law and Flossy Jo collided soon after the start.  Murt Law crossed out approaching the first turn and collided with Sweet Hostility, checking Murt Law. Bomber's Queen and Poppo's Grinning collided approaching the home turn checking Bomber's Queen.  Murt Law crossed out on the home turn.  Bangor Lizzy raced wide entering the home straight.

Murt Law underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral and sacro-iliac injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Bricabrac was checked off Calabrese Gino soon after the start.  Calabrese Gino was checked off Bricabrac on the home turn causing Calabrese Gino to cross out and collide with Princess America. Bricabrac crossed out in the home straight and collided with Feel The Thunder and Princess America approaching the winning post.

A post race sample was taken from Royal Arrival - winner of the event.

Smooth Talker was slow to begin.  Yelredda Saint faltered soon after the start and subsequently pulled up.  Jebrynah Octave was checked off Architecture approaching the first turn. Scorching Ember raced wide in the home straight.

Yelredda Saint underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Wanamingo – New declared weight of 29.1kg last raced at 30.2kg.

Leo's My Champ was quick to begin.  Wanamingo and Southern Bell were slow to begin.  Orya Bale was checked off Hurricane Miami soon after the start.  Och Eye Mum was checked off Pretty Much approaching the first turn.  Orya Bale and Wanamingo collided on the first turn checking Wanamingo. Southern Bell raced wide entering the home straight.  Och Eye Mum raced wide in the home straight.

A post race sample was taken from Leo's My Champ - winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Jet Burner, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Bomber's Train was slow to begin.  Arcanine stumbled at box rise.  Zothan's Magic and Celtic Gypsy collided on the first turn severely checking Zothan's Magic which lost ground.  Hurricane Sue and Celtic Gypsy collided on the home turn.  Carano crossed out in the home straight.

Zothan's Magic underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left side of the face.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A post race sample was taken from Camulos - winner of the event.

Lee Will was quick to begin.  Run To You was checked off Manila Shine soon after the start. Somerton Rose and Klimenko collided on the first turn checking Somerton Rose.  Manila Shine and Walk With Grace collided in the home straight.  Klimenko galloped on Lee Will approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Midnight Marzy.

Banjo Plato and Petey Baqui collided on the first turn.  Hurricane Pete crossed out entering the home straight and collided with Cee Jay Ace.  Cee Jay Ace and Hurricane Pete collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds. 

Hurricane Pete underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sultana the trainer of Hurricane Pete regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Hurricane Pete must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
