Steward's Report
Aston Current and Pyrenees Pegasus were slow to begin.
Reiko Bolt, Zipping Gypsy and Last Shot collided approaching the first turn. Last Shot, Aston Current and Prinny Arandt collided on the first turn; causing Aston Current to fall. Prinny Arandt marred Rona Express in the home straight; checking both greyhounds. Reiko Bolt, Prinny Arandt, Rona Express and Zipping Gypsy collided approaching the winning post; checking Rona Express, Zipping Gypsy and Prinny Arandt.
Aston Current underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Prinny Arandt underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Zammit, the representative of Prinny Arandt regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Prinny Arandt was charged with marring. Mr Zammit pleaded guilty to the charge, Prinny Arandt was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
