Steward's Report
Gala Bale was slow to begin.
Quillan Bale checked off Jabba Bolt on the first turn, checking Gala Bale. Brazen Crow checked off Jabba Bolt entering the home straight.
Quillan Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms A Gurry, trainer of Quillan Bale, regarding the performance, which was below market expectations. Ms Gurry stated that she believed the greyhound did not back up following its run on 20 October 2020, and that she intends to space its runs further apart in future. Stewards noted the comments and in accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Ms Gurry to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Quillan Bale in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
