Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

My Lucky Bro was slow to begin.

Cullquin Marcel, Argyle Audrey and Harlequin Rose collided on the first turn. Aston Spinel checked off Cuteness on the first turn and crossed out checking My Bro Lucky. Cullquin Marcel faltered on the third turn and lost considerable ground. Aston Spinel visibly eased on the third turn. Diama Miss, Harlequin Rose and Argyle Audrey collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Argyle Audrey became dislodged during the running of this event.

Cullquin Marcel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Spinel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hock and an injury to the left gluteals. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Nicole Cachia, the representative of Aston Spinel regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Aston Spinel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Cachia pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Spinel was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Diama Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Anthony Bruce-Clarke regarding the racing manners Diama Miss approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Bruce-Clarke, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Moon Flower, Rockstar Britt, Reiko Martini, Resurrection and Kaison Bale collided soon after the start checking Rockstar Britt, Reiko Martini, Resurrection and Kaison Bale. Kaison Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Resurrection and Reiko Martini. Another Episode checked off Moon Flower on the first turn checking Rockstar Britt and Kaison Bale. Reiko Martini checked off Kaison Bale approaching the second turn checking Resurrection. Another Episode and Kaison Bale collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Reiko Martini. Another Episode and Reiko Martini collided on the third turn. Moon Flower and Resurrection collided entering the home straight.

Cherokee Twist, Magnis Bale and She's So Sassy collided soon after the start. Starfleet and Knicks Bale collided approaching the first turn. Redbank Liddy, Starfleet and Knicks Bale collided on the first turn checking Redbank Liddy, Starfleet and She's So Sassy. Starfleet, Knicks Bale and She's So Sassy collided on the second turn checking Knicks Bale and She's So Sassy. Rall's Girl and Eight Ball collided approaching the home turn checking Rall's Girl which brushed the running rail. Selynya Teddy and Weblec Eagle collided on the home turn. Weblec Eagle, Selynya Teddy and Harrell Bale collided entering the home straight checking Selynya Teddy. 

Brady's Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Miss Tenzing underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle, right triangle muscle and an abrasion on the left wrist . A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiggerlong Ginga underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.  Stewards spoke to licensed participants, Mr. C. Grenfell and Ms. C Brinsley after Ms Brinsley partially lost control of Tiggerlong Ginga during the stirup prior to this event.  After hearing all evidence presented, Stewards issued a warning to Ms Brinsley pursuant to GAR 27(2)(c) for failing to have proper control of the greyhound.

Mississippi Mud and Rezzie's Choice were slow to begin.

Rockstar Carmody, Dukey Duke and Kudos Bale collided approaching the first turn. Rockstar Carmody, Kudos Bale and Valetta Sky collided on the first turn checking Kudos Bale and Dukey Duke.
