Steward's Report
No Marjen turned its head outwards approaching the first turn. Broady Lights and No Marjen collided approaching the first turn. Antique Ali checked off Raquea's Dream on the first turn checking Dewana Smokey, Antique Ali stumbled as a result. Raquea's Dream checked off Valka Bale approaching the home turn. Broady Lights and No Marjen collided in the home straight checking No Marjen.
No Marjen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Trainer Mr. David Jensen declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Jensen regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) No Marjen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jensen pleaded not guilty to the charge, No Marjen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
