Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Big Coin Buddy was quick to begin.  Aston Frigate and Crouching Tiger collided on the first turn checking Crouching Tiger.  Big Coin Buddy, Kraken Smick, Mayhem's Quest and Canadian Mist collided on the first turn causing Mayhem's Quest to gallop on Canadian Mist checking Aston Frigate and Hayley Hook, severely checking Big Coin Buddy, Kraken Slick, Mayhem's Quest, Crouching Tiger and Canadian Mist, Canadian Mist fell as a result.  Big Coin Buddy and Kraken Smick collided on the first turn.

Mayhem's Quest underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Canadian Mist underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured left radius/ulna and was humanely euthanised.

A pre-race sample was taken from Magic Voyage.

Flying Flash was slow to begin. Even Keats and Run To You collided soon after the start.  Flying Flash crossed out and marred Jayville Tahlia approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Magic Voyage was checked off Even Keats approaching the home turn checking Run To You.

Flying Flash underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Erenshaw the trainer of Flying Flash regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn and on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Flying Flash was charged with marring.  Mr. Erenshaw pleaded guilty to the charge, Flying Flash is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69 (2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
