Steward's Report
Hurricane Miss and Bella Bonnie were slow to begin. Fidelia and Bella Bonnie collided soon after the start. Jakey's Day, Fidelia and Inter Vince collided on the first turn checking Jakey's Day and Fidelia causing Fidelia to falter. Star Gem, Hurricane Miss and Inter Vince collided on the home turn. Fidelia and Inter Vince collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Star Gem cramped in the home straight. Star Gem and Fidelia collided several times from approaching the winning post to the winning post.
Star Gem underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Star Gem must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
