Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Swedish Duchess was slow to begin.  Swedish Duchess contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Olive's Branch was checked off Run To You on the first turn.  Jolly Jiggs and Run To You collided several times on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Swedish Duchess raced wide entering the home straight.  Jolly Jiggs lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Jolly Jiggs underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left hamstring and a spike wound on the left hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Swedish Duchess underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over left shoulder and an abrasion over the left elbow.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dundee Prince was quick to begin.  Mad McEnroe and Crouching Tiger collided soon after the start checking Crouching Tiger.  My Oh Fernando was checked off Mad McEnroe on the first turn checking My Oh Fernando, Dundee Prince and Big Coin Buddy  Dundee Prince and Big Coin Buddy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Fallen Petal crossed out entering the home straight.

Mac's Mayhem, Urana Duke and Splinter were slow to begin.  Inter Helen was checked off Aston Rum approaching the first turn.  Aston Rum crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Done Time and Who's Spolly.  Done Time and Urana Duke collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mac's Mayhem and Inter Helen collided on the first turn.  Splinter was checked off Inter Lana entering the home straight.  Mac's Mayhem and Urana Duke collided in the home straight.

Gokart Jiggs - New declared weight of 33.0kg, last raced at 31.7kg.

Inter Joe was quick to begin.  Big Baccala and Sultan Bale were slow to begin.  Gokart Jiggs faltered on the first turn checking Banjo Plato, Big Baccala and Sultan Bale, Gocart Jiggs subsequently tailed off as a result.  Banjo Plato was checked off Architecture on the first turn.  Big Plans and Architecture collided on the first turn.  Big Baccala and Sultan Bale collided approaching the home turn.  

Gocart Jiggs underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle, left and right flexor tendon and left hip.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v).

Dybala was slow to begin.  Bricabrac, Tilly Lee and Block Star collided approaching the first turn checking Tilly Lee.  Consider It Done crossed out on the first turn.  Consider It Done and Scorching Ember collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Bricabrac crossed out in the home straight and raced wide.

Hurricane Miss and Bella Bonnie were slow to begin.  Fidelia and Bella Bonnie collided soon after the start.  Jakey's Day, Fidelia and Inter Vince collided on the first turn checking Jakey's Day and Fidelia causing Fidelia to falter.  Star Gem, Hurricane Miss and Inter Vince collided on the home turn. Fidelia and Inter Vince collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Star Gem cramped in the home straight.  Star Gem and Fidelia collided several times from approaching the winning post to the winning post.

Star Gem underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Star Gem must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fidelia underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right shin and left monkey muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. T. Interligi was issued with a warning regarding his use of a mobile phone in the kennelling area in accordance with GAR 44.

Aston Dotty was slow to begin.  Mister Wingard crossed out soon after the start and collided with Warrior Armo checking both greyhounds.  Sweet Chanelle was checked off Horace Bale approaching the first turn.  Mister Wingard contacted the running rail on the first turn and galloped on Warrior Armo checking both greyhounds.  Sweet Chanelle was checked off Horace Bale entering the home straight.

Mister Wingard underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left triangle muscle and an abrasion on the right hind foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Horace Bale proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

My Girl Mel, Crystal Kiss and Love A Talk were quick to begin.  Brayden Lennox was slow to begin.
