Miss Trixy was quick to begin.
Grand Warrior checked off Wolfsbane Potion soon after the start. Five Bucks Down and Myola Sunrise collided soon after the start. Wolfsbane Potion and Extreme Care collided approaching the first turn. Myola Sunrise and Sirius Faith collided on the first turn; checking Wolfbane Potion, causing Sirius Faith, Wolfsbane Potion and Myola Sunrise to collide; severely checking Sirius Faith.. Grand Warrior and Myola Sunrise collided approaching the home turn. Wolfsbane Potion and Extreme Care collided approaching the home turn.
Sirius Faith underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg shoulder muscle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Miss Trixy - the winner of the event.
