Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to andcontinue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Nyssa's Girl, Treacle and All Inn Benny collided on the first turn checking Nyssa's Girl, Taipan Jill, Treacle and All Inn Benny. Idaho and Ishmy Rory collided on the first turn. Taipan Jill galloped on All Inn Benny on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Taipan Jill and All Inn Benny collided entering the home straight.

All Inn Benny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and abrasions to left and right hind limbs. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Rival Wiggy and No Sitting Back were quick to begin.

Twilight Psycho, Hartland Gus, One Point Five and Rival Wiggy collided approaching the first turn checking Hartland Gus and One Point Five. Son Of Peter faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Hartland Gus and Rival Wiggy collided on the home turn checking Rival Wiggy. One Point Five and Pat May Joy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. One Point Five and Pat May Joy collided in the home straight.

Son Of Peter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing to the left hind paw and a right triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Jye Formosa, the representative of Son Of Peter and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Mr. Formosa to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Son Of Peter in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Kid James – New declared weight of 33.0kg, last raced at 31.7kg.

Another Avatar, Bongino, Miss Immy, Send It Tucker, Millenium Star and Hillbilly Storm collided on the first turn checking all six greyhounds. Millenium Star raced wide in the home straight.

Late Night Kebab went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Wendy Maria, Carter, All Inn June and Just The Marjen collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Belle Curve checked off Late Night Kebab on the first turn and raced wide as a result.Just The Marjen turned it's head outward and collided with Iceni Riddler on the home turn, both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Carter and All Inn June collided on the home turn checking All Inn June. Wendy Maria and Late Night Kebab collided entering the home straight.

Just The Marjen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11. Just The Marjen was found to have an injury to the neck area. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. D. Jensen, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Just The Marjen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Jensen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Just The Marjen was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Belle Curve underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an elevated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Gallant Toby and Fairytale Ending collided soon after the start checking Fairytale Ending. Gallant Toby and Crazy Old Fool collided on the first turn checking Zoe's Intention, Kraken Ruben and Gallant Toby. Kraken Ruben and Aston Verve collided on the home turn. Elegant Malt checked off Aston Verve on the home turn and collided with Fairytale Ending.an abraded 

Zoe's Intention underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded paw pad. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
