Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Slick Intention.
Bella Bonnie was quick to begin.
Fine Intention, Financial Tarra, Break The Chains, Magic Voyage and Slick Intention collided soon after the start. Financial Tarra, Break The Chains and Magic Voyage collided on the first turn. Bella Bonnie and Break The Chains collided on the third turn checking Bella Bonnie. Bella Bonnie pulled up on the home turn and took no further competitive part in the event. Break The Chains and Slick Intention collided in the home straight.
Bella Bonnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury and an abrasion to the left metacarpal, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to presentative Mr Tony Cortese, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Bella Bonnie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Bella Bonnie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
