Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Voltage Spike.
Surella Bale was quick to begin.
Lektra Jena crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Poppo's Grinning and Riccarton Rick. Sensory and Pilbara collided soon after the start. Voltage Spike crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Poppo's Grinning, Pilbara and Sensory. Riccarton Rick and Voltage Spike collided on the second turn checking Riccarton Rick. Voltage Spike checked off Pilbara approaching the home turn.
Sensory underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a left radius fracture. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Surella Bale - winner of the event.
