Chun Li was quick to begin. Zekel Bale was slow to begin.
Zekel Bale checked off Chill Out Webby on the first turn. Enicka Bale and Opal Beach collided on the first turn checking Opal Beach. High Plain and Origami Angel collided on the first turn. Opal Beach and Chill Out Webby collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.
Opal Beach underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
