A pre-race sample was taken from Blackpool Storm.
Blackpool Storm, Kraken Thunder, Who Told Gawnie, Brian Harold and All Inn Billy collided in the back straight checking Kraken Thunder, Who Told Gawnie and Brian Harold. Blackpool Storm, All Inn Billy, Especial Envy and Red Hot Lady collided approaching the first turn checking Blackpool Storm. Kraken Thunder and Who Told Gawnie collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds causing Who Told Gawnie to brush the running rail as a result. Blackpool Storm and Red Hot Lady collided on the home turn.
Who Told Gawnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left front radius and spike wounds to the left and right hind metatarsals. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
