Steward's Report

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Parade Steward Ms S. McKay did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event. 

A pre-race sample was taken from It's A Date.

Jenny Kay Rose was quick to begin.  Akina Archer, Mystery Rules and Mad McEnroe were slow to begin. General Collinda and Jenny Kay Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Jenny Kay Rose.  Mystery Rules and General Collinda colldied on the first turn.  Jenny Kay Rose checked off General Collinda on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Akina Archer and General Collinda collided on the home turn.  Mystery Rules and Mad McEnroe collided several times on the home turn.  Mystery Rules turned its head outwards entering the home straight. Mystery Rules and Mad McEnroe collided approaching the winning post.

Mystery Rules underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 6, Mystery Rules was found to have a left monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brian Alford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mystery Rules was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Alford pleaded guilty to the charge, Mystery Rules must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
