Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Grand Warrior was quick to begin. Yazid Bale checked off Nitro Legacy soon after the start. Grand Warrior and Amy's Alone collided soon after the start. Bellbird checked off Yazid Bale on the first turn. Grand Warrior, Amy's Alone and Nitro Legacy collided on the first turn checking Nitro Legacy and severely checking Amy's Alone; Midnight Pompeii and Bellbird were checked as a result. Amy's Alone and Midnight Pompeii collided on the home turn. Grand Warrior and Nitro Legacy collided approaching the winning post causing Nitro Legacy to stumble. 

Billy Tirch and Irwin Bale were quick to begin. Northrop Tiger and Belt Up Dusty collided soon after the start. Billy Tirch checked off Irwin Bale on the first turn and collided with Belt Up Dusty checking Belt Up Dusty. Belt Up Dusty and Sand Dance collided on the home turn checking Sand Dance.

Sand Dance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Mightly Tuscany was slow to begin. Marley's Rage shifted in soon after the start and collided with Draconic Lad checking Casanova Man and All's Grand. Draconic Lad and Marley's Rage collided approaching the first turn checking Marley's Rage; Casanova Man was severely checked as a result. Draconic Lad and Mightly Tuscany collided on the first turn severely checking Mighty Tuscany.

A post-race sample was taken from Another Avatar - the winner of the event. 

What Feeling was very slow to begin (3 lenghts). Totally Bella and Aaron's Me Boy collided approaching the first turn. Aaron's Me Boy and Empire Lad collided in the back straight. My Bro Lucky checked off What Feeling approaching the home turn. 

What Feeling underwent a post-race veterinary examination- no apparent injury was reported. 

A post-race sample was taken from Born A Runner - the winner of the event. 

Alfie Mikado was slow to begin. Shaun John and Zoe's Intention collided soon after the start. Shaun John, Take A Daisy and Knuckles collided on the first turn severely checking Take A Daisy; Zoe's Intention was checked as a result. Why Not Kez crossed in on the first turn checking Knuckles and My Girl Mel. Zoe's Intention and Take A Daisy collided on the home turn. Sideshow Marjen checked off Why Not Kez on the home turn. Sideshow Marjen shifted in in the home straight and collided with Knuckles and My Girl Mel. Knuckles and My Girl Mel collided approaching the winning post.

Take A Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Just A Fidget and Steinmark collided soon after the start. Steinmark and Verne Bale collided approaching the first turn. Lady Kin Lee crossed to the rails on the first turn and collided with Maximum Jemma checking Steinmark and Verne Bale; Verne Bale galloped on Steinmark as a result. Verne Bale checked off Lady Kin Lee on the second turn and collided with Steinmark checking Steinmark.

Steinmark underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and spike wounds to both hindlegs. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Gaerwen Bale was slow to begin. Star Ballerina crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Jayla Strike. Braeside and Jayla Strike collided on the second turn checking Jayla Strike. Braeside galloped on Lennie's Flyer approaching the home turn. Gaerwen Bale checked off Braeside on the home turn. 

Lennie's Flyer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Ms Loren Dalziel, the trainer of Star Ballerina regarding its improved performance in this event. Ms Dalziel stated the improvement was due the greyhound beginning quickly which allowed a clear uninterrupted run. Stewards noted the explanation and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound. 

Doused In Mud – Late scratching at 10.58am due to the greyhound not being presented (GAR 31). Due to the circumstances surrounding the non-presentation, Trainer Mr Guy Bartlett was fined $250.

Chelsea's Love was quick to begin. Romeo Lad crossed out on the first turn causing Threadin' Mikado to race wide. 

Spring Silver - New declared weight of 32.2 kg, last raced at 31.0 kg.

Ruby's Rosa was slow to begin. Jakey's Day was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Coco Chum galloped on Laxman on the first turn checking Laxman. Send It Tucker galloped on Coco Chum approaching the home turn. Coco Chum and Send It Tucker collided approaching the home turn. Jakey's Day raced wide on the home turn. 

On Time Cash - New declared weight of 31.5 kg, last raced at 29.9 kg.

Hard At It - Late scratching at 10.28am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer John Rennie was fined $100.

Patchie Two Dots was slow to begin. Pull Shot and On Time Cash collided approaching the first turn checking Pull Shot. Patchie Two Dots and Pull Shot collided on the first turn. All To Lucky and One Double Beat raced wide on the home turn.

Handler, Ms Emily Sullivan requested an early race endorsement for Facing The Music. The endorsement was approved for Facing The Music after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards directed the greyhound compete in Early Races only until further notice.

Aeroplane Miss, Spolly Bear and Fairytale Ending were slow to begin. Strike shifted in soon after the start checking Facing The Music and Southern Edge. Aeroplane Miss, Spolly Bear and Facing The Music collided on the first turn severely checking Aeroplane Miss and Facing The Music. Strike galloped on Why Not Gazza on the first turn.
