Steward's Report
Giant Shadow pulled up soon after the start and took no part in the event.
Rippa Regis and Chill Out Isla collided on the first turn checking Rippa Regis. Belmont Rose checked off Harley Merrett on the home turn. Lewis Osti and Southern Edge collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Rippa Regis underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated right fore toe. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. M. Chilcott representative of Giant Shadow declined to have the greyhound vetted following the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Chilcott handler of Giant Shadow regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Giant Shadow was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Giant Shadow is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
