A pre-race sample was taken from Weeona Pete.
Bit Of Pepper was quick to begin. Metro Boomin’ was slow to begin. Room To Boom, Weeona Pete and She’s Our Rocket collided soon after the start. She’s Our Rocket and Take A Rose collided approaching the first turn Baggy’s Gold faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground. Weeona Pete and She’s Our Rocket collided approaching the home turn. She’s Our Rocket and Grawlix collided on the home turn. She’s Our Rocket and Bit Of Pepper collided in the home straight.
Baggy’s Gold underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right calf muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head on vision of the back straight for this event.
