Why Not Dan was slow to begin.
Pirates Patch, Voltage Spike and Aston Profit collided soon after the start checking Pirates Patch. Why Not Gigi, Aston Profit, Pai Gow Poker and Why Not Dan collided on the first turn severely checking Pai Gow Poker and Why Not Dan, Why Not Dan contacted the running rail and lost ground as a result. Pirates Patch raced wide on the home turn. Voltage Spike and Aston Profit collided in the home straight.
Why Not Dan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind leg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
