Steward's Report
Jarick Bale was quick to begin. Zipping Tiffany and High Action were slow to begin.
Jarick Bale crossed to the running rail soon after the start, checking Fairytale Swank, High Action and Westar Manson. Zipping Tiffany checked off Fabroni Bale soon after the start. Fabroni Bale raced wide approaching the first turn, checking Westar Manson and Fairytale Swank. Jarick Bale checked off Sleek Mistress on the first turn. Jarick Bale galloped on the heels of Sleek Mistress on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Fabroni Bale raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Westar Manson lost ground during the event and tailed off as a result.
Westar Manson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7 and was found to have a right fore carpal sprain injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr D. Donnelly, the trainer of Westar Manson regarding its performance approaching the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Westar Manson must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr D. Donnelly to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Westar Manson in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 07.02.2021:
Representative Ms A Langton reported to Stewards that upon examination the greyhound Westar Manson was still sore on the right wrist, the greyhound will now go on a spell.
