Pure Mania was quick to begin. Nana Jill and Jack Out were slow to begin.
Nana Jill and Eleora Bale collided soon after the start checking Eleora Bale. Nana Jill checked off Pure Mania on the first turn. Up The Dale, Pure Mania, Diesel's Legacy and Jack Out collided on the first turn checking Up The Dale, Pure Mania and Diesel's Legacy. Maybe Wrong checked off Pure Mania approaching the home turn. Diesel's Legacy galloped on Jack Out on the home turn checking Jack Out. Nana Jill visibly eased on the home turn. Maybe Wrong and Pure Mania collided on the home turn checking Pure Mania, Diesel's Legacy and Up The Dale. Nana Jill and Eleora Bale collided in the home straight. Maybe Wrong checked off Jack Out in the home straight.
Nana Jill underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg quadriceps muscle injury and a right foreleg sesamoid injury a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr J Doyle regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Nana Jill was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Doyle pleaded guilty to the charge, Nana Jill was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
