West On Klinger visibly eased and pulled up on the first turn.

West On Klinger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg hip injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mr P Riley regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), West On Klinger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Riley pleaded not guilty to the charge, West On Klinger was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and  GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Nana Jill was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Doyle pleaded guilty to the charge, Nana Jill was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fairytale Wish was quick to begin. 

Venus Light underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg chest injury and a right hindleg triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Rock You Queen and Ricky Racoon collided approaching the home turn checking Rock You Queen. Giaan's Girl checked off Rock You Queen on the home turn. Lamont Bale checked off Plausible Dream in the home straight.

Fairytale Nacho & Way To Important - Trainer Mr D. Faulknall made an application to withdraw his two greyhounds from this event. After considering the submissions from Mr. Faulknall and the On Track Veterinarian's evidence Stewards were satisfied the application was for an acceptable reason and authorised the withdrawal. Fairytale Nacho and Way To Important were declared late scratchings at 1.21pm with Steward's permission. A 10-day penalty was applied to both greyhounds. Mr. Faulknall was issued a warning for failing to make his application prior to the appointed scratching time pursuant to GAR 23 (1) (b).
