Steward's Report
Zipping Quokka was slow to begin.
Potente Rocks checked off Ms. Lucky Leaves soon after the start. Fly To Victory checked off Potente Rocks at the 250m mark. Blue Zenia and Ms. Lucky Leaves collided several times from the 200m mark to approaching the 150m mark. Blue Zenia shifted to the outside at the 150m mark to collided with Ms. Lucky Leaves. Blue Zena, Ms. Lucky Leaves and Potente Rocks collided at the 50m mark.
Blue Zenia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadricep injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Akathiotis regarding the racing manners of Blue Zenia at the 150m mark. After hearing evidence from Mr Akathiotis, viewing all the available race footage, in particular the head-on vision, and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 150m mark.
