Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face-masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Invictus Zeek was quick to begin. Invictus Zeek and Wall Street collided approaching the first turn checking Saint Bluey which galloped on Wall Street as a result. Invictus Zeek clipped the heels of Wall Street on the first turn. Wall Street turned its head out and visibly eased on the first turn checking Zipping Jazz and severely checking Invictus Zeek and Mikado Gal.
Wall Street underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4. Wall Street was found to have an injured right hip. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Luke Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Wall Street was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Wall Street was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
