Done Time was quick to begin. Lavish Diamond shifted in soon after the start checking Busy Bella and Hot Diesel. Done Time and Lavish Diamond collided on the first turn. Hot Diesel, Busy Bella and Simon Says collided on the first turn checking Busy Bella, severely checking Mr. Football and causing Kilpatrick to fall. Fenway Lights was checked off Busy Bella approaching the home turn. Hot Diesel and Simon Says collided approaching the home turn. Done Time galloped on Lavish Diamond approaching the home turn. Done Time and Lavish Diamond collided on the home turn checking Lavish Diamond.
Kilpatrick underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left chest muscle. A 5 day standdown period was imposed.
There was no head-on vision available in the back straight for this event.
