A pre-race sample was taken from Galaxy Queen.
Weblec Storm was quick to begin.
Galaxy Queen and Doughnut collided soon after the start. Galaxy Queen, Doughnut and Winlock Newbolt collided approaching the first turn causing Galaxy Queen to fall taking no furthur part in the running of the event. Crackerjack Fish checked off Weblec Storm on the first turn.
Galaxy Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg groin injury. and a cervic - thoracic injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
